We met three summers ago when we were both pregnant and MISERABLE in the heat. We quickly discovered a shared joy for prenatal yoga and gigantic burritos.
Her little guy was born just four days after Small Fry. They’re buds.
I can’t tell you how refreshing it was to be able to talk to someone who was going through the exact same thing as me, at the exact same time. There were occasions in those early days when we’d just be sitting in one of our living rooms, staring at the newborns, puzzling over how they’d landed in our lives. (From outer space, right?)

Happiness is:
* lunch alone (my own post to follow shortly)
* road snacks
* hearing your child say please and thank you – unprompted
* getting a great deal
* watching the ones you love succeed
* shaved legs on freshly cleaned sheets
* not being able to stop smiling, even when it becomes kinda awkward
* making a new friend on an airplane
* being very easy to please
* having a conversation that lasts 3 hours, but feels like 15 minutes
* free refills
* a good nights sleep
* knowing that you are truly loved
* m&ms and a diet Coke
* listening to whatever you want to on the radio and blasting it
* a clean, organized house
* sushi
* giving and receiving unexpected gifts
* having a super long list of things that make me happy in hopes that I’ll be asked to write a guest post again =)

This is a woman after my own heart! Besides having a totally awesome first name, I couldn’t have written a better happiness list. Can’t wait to read her blog.
